"Macbeth seems a perfect fit, you have the supernatural, big fights, blood and all the darkness that leads eventually to Macbeth's fall," Paul Molnar or South Brooklyn Shakespeare said in a statement. "Going dark this year has really made us have to explore the humanity and journey that 'vaulting ambition' can lead to. When seen through our modern lens, the lessons taught in Macbeth can powerfully resonate with our audiences."

The other performances, from August 2 through 5, start at 8 p.m. in front of the Old Stone House.
