1 Charged With Prostitution In Massage Parlor Raid In Suffolk: Police

Brookhaven Town's Fire Marshal issued multiple summonses to the business and deemed it unsafe, Suffolk police say.

EAST PATCHOGUE, NY — A Ronkonkoma woman was charged with prostitution during a raid on a massage parlor at Twins Spa in East Patchogue on Monday, Suffolk police said.

A search warrant was undertaken at the Montauk Highway spa, and arrested the 56-year-old just before 6 p.m., and charged her with prostitution and fourth-degree promoting prostitution, and she is scheduled for arraignment in First District Court in Central Islip on Feb. 14, according to police.

In the raid, which was conducted in response to numerous community complaints, Brookhaven Town's Fire Marshal's office issued multiple summonses to the business and deemed it unsafe, police said.

In addition to the fire marshal, the office's of Brookhaven's building inspector and code enforcement, as well as Crime Section officers from the 5th Precinct in Patchogue, and detectives from the District Attorney's office took part in the raid.
