8th Arrest In Connection With Missing Long Island Teen Girl: Report

Prosecutors allege he and the girl smoked pot and had sex in a car the day she went missing, Newsday reported.

LONG ISLAND, NY — An eighth person was arrested on Wednesday in connection with the disappearance of a teen girl on Long Island, Newsday reported.

It is alleged that Kevin McDonald, 20, of Medford, smoked marijuana with the girl and then had sex with her in the back seat of a 1998 Honda Accord in Bellport on Dec. 10, the day she went missing, the outlet reported, citing court papers and prosecutors.

McDonald pleaded not guilty to charges of second-degree rape and endangering the welfare of a child, and his bail was set at $250,000, $500,000 insured bond, and $2.5 million partially secured surety bond at his arraignment in First District Court in Central Islip, online court records show.

A temporary order of protection has been issued, and he is due back in court on Sunday, according to the records.

Two women were also reportedly charged with child trafficking in the case this week — Elizabeth Hunter, 34, of Islip and Jacquelyn Comiskey, 52, of Bellport for using the teen for money and drugs from men.

Daniel Burke, 63, of Bohemia, and Robert Eccleston, 61, of Islip, were reportedly arrested Friday with investigators alleging they kidnapped the teen and held her at their homes.

Three other men were arrested in connection with the case in recent weeks, the first being Francis Buckheit, of East Islip, his defense attorney Danielle Marie Papa of Hauppauge confirmed.

The second, Bunice Knight, 47, of Copiague, alleging he had sex with the girl inside his house hours before she was found, according to Newsday.

Last week, Alton Harrell was also charged with second-degree rape and kidnapping, as well as child endangerment in connection with the case.
