Yaphank Historic Houses Tour Back On For This Weekend After Cancelation For Bad Weather
The event will include refreshments and music at the Swezey-Avey house, event organizers say.

YAPHANK, NY — The Yaphank Historical Society is expected to open its historical homes for holiday tours after this weekend's events were canceled due to the snowstorm, event organizers say.
The event will run from 1 to 4 p.m.
The tour begins at the Swezey-Avey House, where tickets and instructions can be picked up, and there will be refreshments and music.

In addition to the Swezey-Avey House, the tour includes the Victorian Isabella and Robert Hawkins House, the Colonial Booth House Museum, and the Homan-Gerard Mill House, where docents will be available to provide guided tours and answer questions.
It also includes the Pol House, the birthplace of Robert Hawkins, and St. Andrews Church, which will host a Christmas Boutique, featuring gifts, decorations, baked goods, and more.

The donation is $20 for adults, while children under 12 are admitted for free.
