Sheriff Errol Toulon says that each arrest made by deputies "could very well be a life saved."

PATCHOGUE, NY — Nine people were arrested on drunken driving-related charges, including three for felony aggravated DWI, having registered a Blood Alcohol Concentration level of more than twice the legal limit, over the weekend in the greater Patchogue area, Sheriff Errol Toulon said.

The arrests are part of the sheriff's' office’s enhanced summer impaired driving enforcement, announced earlier this month. It ran from July 11 to July 13.

Toulon said that each arrest made by deputies "could very well be a life saved."
