If it works in the summer, it should work in the winter, right?

"Alive After Five Winter Wonderland" will hopefully spur business for local shops like its counterpart does in the summer.

The event, which will take place on Dec. 20, will feature a 40-by-70-foot ice-skating rink that will be installed in front of the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts on Main Street. The rink can hold up to 70 skaters.
The theme of this year's event is "It’s a Wonderful Life, Patchogue!" and the committee is collecting donations to make the event happen. The committee's goal is to raise $20,000, according to the GoFundMe.com page.
