Arson Detectives Investigating Fire In East Patchogue: Police

UPDATE: It has been deemed non-criminal in nature, but the investigation is continuing, a Suffolk police spokesman says.

EAST PATCHOGUE, NY — Arson Squad detectives investigated the scene of a fire in East Patchogue on Thursday morning, Suffolk police said.

No one was injured in the fire, which broke out at the John Street home just before noon, according to police.

It has since been deemed non-criminal in nature, but the investigation is continuing, a police spokesman said.

The fire was one of two to break out in the Patchogue area on Thursday morning.

A car fire was doused earlier in the day at The Home Depot at Gateway Plaza in North Patchogue.
