Arson Detectives Investigating Patchogue Brush Fire: Authorities
The fire spanned across four properties from Sycamore to Lakeland, North Patchogue Fire Department says.
PATCHOGUE, NY — Arson Squad detectives are investigating a fire that broke out near homes in Patchogue on Sunday afternoon, authorities said.
The fire started at the Sycamore Street home just before 4 p.m., and the North Patchogue Fire Department was called to the scene, Suffolk police said.
The fire department said it was in the rear yards of homes on Sycamore Street, and when firefighters arrived, units found multiple large sheds on fire in separate yards along with the fire encroaching on nearby homes.

The fire spanned across four properties from Sycamore to Lakeland, according to the department.
Firefighters got the fire under control by stretching two hose lines into the area before it damaged any of the homes, the department said in a post to Facebook.
