Viewers will vote on their favorite decorated boat.

The 25h annual Patchogue Christmas/Holiday Boat Parade will sail into the community on Nov 17 and 18, tugging along a fun time for families.

Viewers will watch the parade from the waterfront or at one of the viewing restaurants, including Off Key Tikki, Drift 82, The Oar, Harbor Crab Co., and more.

Restaurants will offer a variety of buffet options, including many holiday favorites like roast turkey, baked ham, roast beef and a mix of sides.

While watching the boats sail by - and waiting for Santa on the final boat - attendees will vote for their favorite and the winner will be crowned the "People's Choice" winner.

Dick Blaksley, of the Oar House, started the Boat Parade 24 years ago after being inspired by a Ft. Lauderdale event. According to the event's website, each year brings out thousands of families to "ring in the holiday season."

The event will feature live music at both viewing locations and at all the waterfront restaurants - and holiday movies that will screen outdoors.

Free public viewing is being offered at Sandspit Park (Davis Park Ferry Terminal) and FINS (Watch Hill terminal). The holiday movies screenings are also free to the public.

Restaurants suggest you make reservations by calling 631-475-1723.

A free boat preview will take place Saturday night at Off Key Tikki Marina from 5 to 9 p.m.
