YAPHANK, NY — A small brush fire broke out Wednesday night in Yaphank, drawing area firefighters, Suffolk police said.

It broke out at Long Island Avenue and Gerard Road just before 10 p.m., according to police.

It was doused by the Yaphank Fire Department, police said.
