- The Atlantic Wind Symphony is performing a salute for Our Veterans on Friday, Nov. 11, at 3 p.m. at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts. The selections will be in the style of John Philip Sousa, the “March King.” Tickets can be purchased here. (Patchogue Theater)
- Patchogue-Medford Public Library seminar focuses on cervical cancer prevention. A Stony Brook health professional will teach ways to prevent the disease and where to go for regular screenings. The meeting is set for Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 6:30 p.m. Registration is required to attend in person or via Zoom. (Patch)
- Today, registered voters in New York will head to the polls to decide for the new NY governor. Candidates Kathy Hochul and Lee Zeldin campaigned over the weekend. According to an article published by Long Island News 12, more than 230,00 Long Islanders have already voted. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. (LI News 12)
- Charges against the man involved in Shirley's shooting might be updated. His attorney has questioned the charges against Noah Green. Green is facing charges for his alleged involvement in the Shirley shooting outside Lee Zeldin's house. According to his attorney, Christopher Cassar, the amount determined by persecutors is very high for gun charges. (Patch)
