Fire Breaks Out At Blue Point Home: Police

It started at about 4:15 p.m., drawing area firefighters; no one was injured, Suffolk police say.

BLUE POINT, NY — A fire broke out at a Blue Point home Tuesday afternoon, drawing area firefighters, Suffolk police said.

Fifth Precinct officers were called to the Eatondale Avenue home at around 4:15 p.m., after a fire began in a fireplace, according to police.

No one was injured, police said.

The Brookhaven Town Fire Marshal’s office responded, according to police.

Police do not suspect any criminality was involved, a spokeswoman said.
