Hometown Hero: Town Councilman Works Tirelessly To Help Residents
We all know someone who's making a difference. Let's help share their amazing stories! Presented by Ring.

PATCHOGUE, NY — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we're working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.
This submission comes from Joelle Hawkes, who nominated Town of Brookhaven Councilman Neil Foley. According to Hawkes, Foley has been working tireless as an advocate for the town residents in addition to working for The NY Cancer and Blood Specialists. The Patchogue resident is also father to four children.

"I don't know how he keeps it altogether but he does, with grace and humor," Hawkes wrote. "Neil is quick to respond and always looking out for the best interest of the residents of the Town of Brookhaven. I see him tasked with so much and not thanked nearly enough. He is quite extraordinary!"
Thank you for all you do Neil Foley!
