LI Woman Left Dog In Feces-Filled Basement With No Food: SPCA
The six-year-old coonhound was confined to a dark basement with no food or water.

An East Patchogue woman was charged with animal cruelty after it was discovered she allegedly left her dog in a dark basement with feces, urine and no food or water, officials said.
Suffolk County SPCA detectives charged Candace Diperi, 28, of Cauncey Drive, after rescuing the 6-year-old coonhound. The dog was transported to the Brookhaven Animal Shelter.
Diperi is scheduled to appear in First District Court on July 31, officials said.
