  1. A man was arrested for stealing catalytic converters in Suffolk. According to the police, the suspect stole the mechanical part on Suffolk Avenue in Bellport. Later on, the thief, whose identity has not been released, was later released on a "desk appearance ticket." (Patchogue Patch)
  2. For those looking forward to enjoying the Halloween events, don't forget to participate in the Patchogue- Medford Library Costume Swap 2022. You can donate a gently used costume and pick another one on Saturday, Oct. 15, at 9:30 a.m. (Patch Events)
  3. Patchogue- Medford High School Annual Career Day was hosted on Oct. 3. Supervisor Ed Romaine spoke at the event. According to Romaine, “Career Day at Patchogue Medford High School helps to build a connection between students and people in the community who can help guide them as they consider their career path options. Thank you to Mr. Ferrante and Mr. Smiloff for their efforts in organizing this annual event.” (Press Release Desk)
  4. Medford Fire Department battled a blaze at the Medford-based Tractor Supply Company located at Route 112 on Thursday. Officials reports said the building was unoccupied during the incident. (Patch)
  5. The Suffolk Sheriff's Open House And Family Day community event returns after two years of cancellation on Sunday. The fun starts at 11 a.m. and goes until 3 p.m. Come out to enjoy exhibits, jail tours, truck rides, and more! (Patchogue Patch)
