Man Attempts to Rob Chase Bank In Bellport, Police Say
Another Chase Bank was robbed the day before in the town over.
Suffolk police are investigating what they believe to be an attempted robbery that occurred Friday, just after noon, at a Chase Bank in Bellport.
A man entered the location at 32 Station Road with his face covered by a bandana. He approached the teller, but before the man was able to ask for money, she triggered a silent alarm. The teller walked away from the counter, and bandana-wearing man fled the scene.
Police believe he rode away from the bank's parking lot on a bike.

Anyone with information about this individual, or this incident, can call the confidential police tip line at 1-800-220-TIPS. The Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offer a $5,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
