UPDATE Dec. 31: After a meeting with Patchogue Village public safety officials we have unfortunately decided to CANCEL Midnight on Main St. tonight. Want to ring in the New Year under the midnight stars but don't feel like standing in Times Square?
The Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the second annual community wide Midnight on Main Street New Year's event.

Beginning at 8 p.m. on New Year's Eve, community members will gather on Main Street to usher in 2019 with food, hot beverages, music, dancing, a firework show and a specially designed Patchogue New Year's Eve ball that will lead the countdown.
"Since Patchogue is a community ahead of its time (and we want this to be an event the whole family can enjoy) Patchogue Village Mayor Paul Pontieri will be declaring 9 p.m. as “Midnight on Main St.”, and when we will welcome New Year’s in Patchogue," according to the Chamber.

The chamber is inviting people to help sponsor the event, needing to raise $20,000 to cover costs, including the Grand Illumination display, security and public safety, maintenance of the New Year's ball, party favors and entertainment.
To be a sponsor, or for more information, contact David Kennedy at info@patchogue.com or 631-207-1000.
