Murder Charges For LI Man After Fatal Stabbing: PD

A man has been charged with murder after fatally stabbing another man during a fight at a Long Island apartment complex, Suffolk police say.

EAST PATCHOGUE, NY — A Long Island man has been arrested after fatally stabbing another man in the neck during a fight, according to Suffolk County police.

Antwane Lee, 31, of Bay Shore, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder on Tuesday night for stabbing and killing Justin Evans, 22, of Bay Shore, at an apartment complex on Pondview Drive in East Patchogue at around 8 p.m. on Sunday, police said.

Evans was transported in a private vehicle to NYU Langone Hospital – Suffolk in Patchogue before officers arrived and was pronounced dead a short time later, police said.

Lee was held overnight at the Third Precinct and is slated to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Wednesday.
