Here are the top five stories today in Patchogue:
- The 60th Annual Patchogue Christmas Parade kicks off on Saturday, Nov. 26, at 6 p.m. on Main Street. The event starts at the corner of West Avenue and marches down the Main, ending at Route 112. This event will take place rain or shine. (Facebook events)
- The Village of Patchogue is the place to enjoy Christmas/Holiday events this weekend. If some of you want to plan your weekend ahead of time, look at what's happening in the community this weekend by visiting the link I've shared. (Patchogue Patch)
- The 4th annual Free Thanksgiving Dinner hosted by Toast Coffeehouse in Patchogue is set for today from 6 to 9 p.m. Live music will be a plus. The restaurant is located at 46 E. Main St. in Patchogue. All are welcome. (Patch Events)
- Thanksgiving meal boxes will be distributed for those in need at the correctional facility in Yaphank today at 10 a.m. About 450 turkeys and sides - gravy, stuffing and more - will be given out. Businesses in Patchogue and its surroundings donated to make the event possible. (Patch)
- AAA speculates that 54.6 million people will hit the road this Thanksgiving. Numbers show an increase of 1.5% compared to last year. The crowds will also be found at the airports, with a rise of 8 percent of passengers flying to their destinations on holiday. (LI News12)

- "A Medford man was caught driving drunk with his 14-year-old son inside of his car on Route 112 in Patchogue early Saturday morning, the Suffolk Sheriff's office said." (Patch)
