1. Nonprofit League of Yes, received $25,000 from State Farm Insurance to be invested in a playground for disabled kids. League of Yes director Kristine Fitzpatrick said the play area would provide socialization and help the little ones build their confidence. (Patch)
2. Drop in at the Carnegie's Library front lawn on Wednesday, July 10, for fun and games. Children aged three years and up are welcome to participate in this family activity that starts at 10 a.m. (PMPL)
3. The Hero Joint in Patchogue added a summer treat to its menu. Seafood lovers can now enjoy a lobster roll made with a brioche bun. The restaurant is located at 4B East Main St. in Patchogue and also has a location in Bay Shore. (Greater Patchogue)
4. A man was charged with BWI after crashing a boat in Point O' Woods in Fire Island. Edward Beekman was operating his boat after consuming alcoholic beverages around 3:13 a.m. Beekman was transported to a local hospital after the crash. No serious injuries were reported. (News12)
