  2. Suffolk police are offering a reward of $1,000 for help with unsolved cases in the county. Most investigations are hit-and-run related. One of them happened to a Patchogue man, Marco Castro, who was walking on North Ocean Avenue, just south of Roe Boulevard, when he was hit by a vehicle that left the scene on Feb. 21, 2021.   3. Former Assemblyman Dean Murray announced his intention to run for the 3rd Senate District elections in November. Murray is an East Patchogue resident and looks to succeed Sen. Alexis Weik. (Patchogue Patch)
  4. Nearby News: A man shot a 16-year-old boy in a parking lot in Coram and then, accidentally, shot himself. The incident happened on Middle Country Road. The 35-year-old man was involved in an argument with the teen and shot him before, unintentionally, shooting himself. Both were taken to a local hospital to be treated. Criminal charges were applied.
