1. Suffolk County will host a three-week program, Suffolk County Citizens Preparedness Academy Suitable for People with Differing Abilities, to prepare citizens on how to act in case of emergency, including natural disasters. Executive Steve Bellone announced the program would be free of cost. (Long Island News)
2. Kiddos are invited for a tasty event at the Patchogue-Medford Public Library. "Campfire Marshmallows" will be held on Thursday, July 7 at 11 a.m. Chef Rob will be teaching kids how to make the tasty treat. (PMPL)
