- A house located at 87 Avery Avenue in Patchogue is on the list of the Deemed Unsafe of Brookhaven Town. Other properties throughout Brookhaven have been considered unsafe conditions by a Town engineer in a board meeting. (LongIsland.com)
- More arrests were made at a sobriety checkpoint on Sunrise Highway in Patchogue. Seven drivers were charged with DWI. Police reported that a total of 392 cars went through the checkpoint. (Patchogue Patch)
- A fire broke out at a residence on Fire Avenue in Medford. The incident happened at 4:30 p.m. Fire was controlled quickly by the Medford Fire Department, and no injuries were reported. Officials suspect a lithium-ion battery explosion was the cause of the fire. (Patch)
- Nearby News: A Setauket man was stabbed 11 times during a physical confrontation. The incident took place at a Shell Gas on Middle Country Road. Jogger Matthew Ulloa was arrested and charged with assault. (LI News 12)
