  1. Memorial Weekend is almost here, and fun days are coming our way! Patchogue Fire Department is set to host a carnival at the St. Joseph's University parking lot! From May 26-30, from 4 to 11 p.m., rides, music, food, and more will be offered at 155 W. Roe Blvd. in Patchogue. (Events LI)
  2. This month is special for those in need of mental health support. The Village of Patchogue has been promoting Mental Health Awareness throughout our community, and more events are set to help the cause. On May 28, the Shorefront Park, located at 49 Smith St., Patchogue, will be the grounds for the "Stomp The Stigma 5K Annual Ellyana DeLaTorre Memorial 5K Race/Walk." The event will honor the nonprofit Elly Cares Project in memory of Ellyana DeLaTorre, a light in our community who struggled with mental illness until her passing on August 5, 2021. (Patch)
  3. Teacher Amy will be at the Patchogue-Medford Public Library on Friday, May 27 at 2 p.m. to lead kids in K-6 grades to make a goldfish painting inspired by artist Henri Matisse. (PMPL)
  4. Patchogue Outdoor Market is not just family-friendly, but pets are welcome too! All in the community are welcome to enjoy baked goods, fresh produce, and other goodies from local vendors. Food trucks will be a plus on May 29 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Patchogue Train Station. (Patchogue Moms)
  5. Nearby News: A reward is being offered by the Suffolk Police Department for information that will lead to the arrest of the person responsible for the murder of a Mastic Beach teenager.
