1. The Latino Council of Patchogue celebrates the 4th Annual Hispanic Heritage with a free event at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts. The big day is set for Saturday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. featuring salsa, cumbia, percussion, and other cultural performances. (Facebook Events)
2. A new exhibit is coming to the grounds of the MOCA L.I. The "Resonance" opens on Saturday, Sept. 10, and runs until Nov. 6. Participants artists will impress the audience with artwork inspired by sci-fi. (Patchogue CofC)
3. A 9/11 Ceremony will be held at the September 11th Memorial Park in Patchogue. The event starts at 9 a.m. at Maiden Lane at the end of Cedar Avenue. All are welcome to attend. (Patchogue Village Center)
4. Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson is launching a new free training program for Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs).
