2. Patchogue Village Beach Club is now open for the season. A ceremony was held on Saturday, June 25, led by Rev. Steven J. Hannafin of St. Francis de Sales Church, who blessed the pool. (Village of Patchogue)

4. A Mastic Beach couple was involved in a severe motorcycle accident on Titmus Avenue on June 24. Danielle and Justino Lopez were airlifted to Stony Brook Hospital with severe but no life-threatening injuries. Detectives are asking anyone who witnessed the accident to call the Seventh Squad at 631-852-8752. (Long Island.com)
