1. Attention, small business owners and artisans in the Patchogue community and its surroundings, the Harmony Cafe needs vendors to be part of the "Harmony at the Farm Fundraiser" on July 30. Spots are limited. Access the forms and info here. (Patch)
2. Suffolk County held a press conference on June 30 to talk about the holiday weekend safety. Executive Steve Bellone encouraged the community not to drive under the influence and to take precautions when boating or using fireworks. (Long Island Advance)
3. Renovations are now completed, and the Stereo Garden is working at full speed in Patchogue. The Venue located at 9 Railroad Avenue is ready to host Sweet 16s, corporate events, weddings, and bar mitzvahs. (LongIsland.com)
4. Business owners in New York have a lot to think about this summer. The state Legislature has passed a law that establishments will decide if armed customers are welcome inside the stores. A sign must be placed in the window if the business allows it. The new law was signed by governor Kathy Hochul and will be affected on Sept. 1. (News12)
