🌱 Patchogue Daily: Parking Spaces Sold To NYU Langone + New Eatery

Here are the top 4 stories today in Patchogue:

1. The Village of Patchogue sold 30 parking spaces to NYU Langone. The spots will be used for staff parking. NYU Langone purchased the space for $315,000 and will use the lot as a surgical center. (Long Island Advance)
2. New Tiki Joe's Oceanview restaurant is now open, serving seafood munchies at Smith Point Beach in Shirley. The new eatery opens on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 5-9 p.m., serving classic dishes inspired by Tiki Joe's menu. (Greater Long Island)
3. The Community has donated nearly $80K to help Patchogue resident Jake Lipponer recover from a severe car accident on Father's Day. Lipponer suffered injuries on his spine, femur, arms, and other fractures. (Long Island Advance)
4. A poll released by Monmouth University shows the number of Americans struggling financially has increased by two digits since last year. According to the research, the big enemy is inflation and gas prices, along with "the federal government’s actions are hurting them." (News12)
