- Suffolk police are searching for the suspect(s) who stole a sculpture in Patchogue. The theft occurred at Patchogue Arts Council Sculpture Garden on Terry Street between Aug. 25 and Aug. 27. A cash reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest. (Newsday/Subscription Required)
- "The Cher Show" at Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts will run until Sept. 11. The show is produced by the Gateway in Bellport and has been having positive reviews from attendees, according to the website Broadway Reviews. (Patchogue Theatre)
- A 9/11 Ceremony will be held at the September 11th Memorial Park in Patchogue. The event starts at 9 a.m. at Maiden Lane at the end of Cedar Avenue. All are welcome to attend. (Patchogue Village Center)
- The trial for the murder of 8-year-old Thomas Valva has begun in Riverhead. Valva was left in an unheated garage in January 2020. NYPD officer Michael Valva and his then-fiancé Angela Pollina are facing murder charges and can receive 25 years in prison if convicted. (Long Island News 12)
