  1. The Tap Room in Patchogue is now working with The Independent Group Home Living's Smile Farms in a community program that allows residents with disabilities to work in farms, gardens, and more. Participants can grow their produce and flowers and then sell them to local restaurants in the Village. (Greater LI)
  2. Patchogue-Medford Public Library will host a teenagers' beach towel tie dye program. The teens will be able to bring their creations to the beach! The program is set for Friday, July 22 at 7:30 p.m. at the Carnegie front lawn. (Patch)
  3. La Cecilia, located in East Patchogue, is ready to expand its menu to delight customers who have appreciated its pizza menu since its opening in 2021. Owner Marta Florczyk said the new options include traditional Italian recipes with beer and wine on the menu. (Greater LI)
  4. Zach Gallo, the lifeguard bit by a shark at Smith Point Beach, is back at work at full speed. The incident happened on July 3 during safety training. (News 12 Brooklyn)
