- Suffolk police are searching for a man who stole a wallet at a 7-Eleven located on Main Street in Patchogue. The crime occurred on July 30. A cash reward is offered to whomever has information that leads to an identification and arrest. (News 12 Long Island)
- Patchogue-Medford Public Library continues to host the "Davis Park Summer Storytime" with the next session sceduled for Aug. 9 at 11 a.m. All children are welcome to take a break from the heat and listen to a good story in the shade. (Patchogue CofC)
- Nearby News: Police arrested a man they think is responsible for a fatal shooting outside a home in North Bellport. Shati Smith, 28, was arrested and charged on Wednesday for murdering his neighbor Lee Houpe. (Patch)
