Patchogue Memorial Day Parade: What You Need To Know

The Patchogue Village Memorial Day is set for Monday, May 27.

The parade, which will honor veterans who have died while serving in the military, will kick off at 12:15.

The parade will also celebrate the American Legion Patchogue Post 269's 100 years of service to veterans in the community.

Starting at the intersection of Route 112 and east Main Street, the parade will continue west to South Ocean Avenue, ending at the American Legion Hall.

Following the parade, the American Legion Hall will be dedicated to Patchogue resident and Medal of Honor recipient Michael P. Murphy.

Murphy was a Navy SEAL killed in Afghanistan during Operation Red Wings in 2005 at the age of 29.
