Here are the top four stories today in Patchogue:

1. North Patchogue resident, Darlene Morace, is helping to raise funds to benefit her neighbors whose house was destroyed by a fire that injured their older son and killed their pets. The tragedy happened on Halloween and forced the residents to find shelter elsewhere. A GoFundMe has been set up and has already raised $2,850. (Patchogue Patch)
2. Longtime Patchogue resident Vincent Grucci dies. He was was part of the Bellport fireworks family. He passed away while on a trip to Colombia. (Newsday/Subscription Required)
3. Patchogue-Medford Public Library is hosting an American Sign Language Workshop for all ages! The first session is scheduled for Dec. 6 at 6:30 p.m. Participants can attend the class in person or online. If you are interested, you can visit the link to register. (Patchogue CofC)
4. Brookhaven Town plans to expand the animal shelter and adoption center. An amount of $146,000 in funds from Companion Animal Capital would be used in the project. (Patch)
