- North Patchogue resident, Darlene Morace, is helping to raise funds to benefit her neighbors whose house was destroyed by a fire that injured their older son and killed their pets. The tragedy happened on Halloween and forced the residents to find shelter elsewhere. A GoFundMe has been set up and has already raised $2,850. (Patchogue Patch)
- Longtime Patchogue resident Vincent Grucci dies. He was was part of the Bellport fireworks family. He passed away while on a trip to Colombia. (Newsday/Subscription Required)
- Patchogue-Medford Public Library is hosting an American Sign Language Workshop for all ages! The first session is scheduled for Dec. 6 at 6:30 p.m. Participants can attend the class in person or online. If you are interested, you can visit the link to register. (Patchogue CofC)
- Brookhaven Town plans to expand the animal shelter and adoption center. An amount of $146,000 in funds from Companion Animal Capital would be used in the project. (Patch)
