- Patchogue Village celebrates Hispanic Cultural Heritage month with a parade on Main Street. The Hispanic Cultural Heritage Parade kicks off on Sunday, Oct. 2, at noon. Rain or shine. (Village of Patchogue)
- Attention book worms, the Patchogue Library will have a book sale on Saturday, Oct 1, at 10 a.m. Main Street is the place for those looking to purchase books for all ages at a reasonable price! (Patch Events)
- Patchogue Arts Council invites the community to the Coffee with a Curator featuring artist John Cino. The exhibition "Resonance," curated by Cino, will be discussed in person at 20 Terry St. in Patchogue and via Zoom on Oct. 1 from 11 to noon. (Patchogue Chamber of Commerce)
- Pat-Med School district will host a public information meeting about the vote on the proposal to improve the ventilation system in the school's building. The session is set for Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. the in the Saxton Middle School Auditorium. (Pat-Med School District)
- Nearby News: Andrew Frey, 57, of Coram, was charged with sex trafficking and kidnapping on Sept. 20. Two women said they escaped from Frey's car after being threatened with a knife after refusing to follow him to remote locations. Police searched his vehicle and found handcuffs, knives and ropes. If convicted, he may face 15 years imprisonment. (Patch)
