  1. A new date for Patchogue Village's annual Scare Crow contest has been set. The event was canceled due to Hurricane Ian and is now rescheduled to Oct. 29, which is promising to be a "full day of fall fun" hosted at Patchogue Recreation Center starting at 11 a.m. Access the flyer here. (Patch)
  2. We are fortunate to live in a place filled with outdoor activities for all, but where to go when the weather isn't so great? Look at a list with 20 places to go on rainy days on Long Island. (Patch)
  3. Patchogue Troop 540 will set up a booth event where individuals, families or businesses can sign up to sponsor wreaths for the “Wreaths of Remembrance,” which hangs wreaths on veteran's graves in three local cemeteries in Patchogue. (Greater Long Island)
  4. Town of Brookhaven is hosting a Bicycle Rodeo Saturday to teach kids how to ride their bikes safely. Encourage the little ones to bring their bikes and helmets to be inspected at the View Facility Safety Town at 249 Buckley Road in Holtsville.
