'Rocky Horror Picture Show' Star Coming To Long Island

The unedited movie will be screened with a live shadow cast, and will include a costume contest, event organizers say.

PATCHOGUE, NY — Nell Campbell, the actress who played the role of "Columbia" in the iconic 70s movie musical, "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," will appear at a screening at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts on Oct. 27.

The movie tells the story of a couple whose car breaks down, and they come across a castle with people celebrating an alien mad scientist's creation of a being named "Rocky." It stars Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick as the couple, and Tim Curry as the mad scientist.

Campbell has some memorable moments tap dancing in a gold costume with a top hat, and then leading other characters in"The Time Warp" dance number.

Campbell is an Australian actress whose credits also include "Shock Treatment" and "The Killing Fields," according to Wikipedia.

The screening will be of the unedited movie with a live shadow cast, and will include audience participation, as well as a costume contest. There will be exclusive tickets to the VIP Meet and Greet with Campbell, as well as photo and autograph opportunities.

Tickets to the VIP Meet and Greet include a seating section with the best seats in the house, and a special Rocky Horror VIP laminate.

Prop bags will be available for purchase in the lobby. Props bags brought from home will be taken away at the door.

Tickets run $46 to $176.
