Suffolk Police Announce Road Closures For Smith Point Triathlon

Drivers are asked to take alternative routes.

SHIRLEY, NY — Smith Point Bridge and Smith Point Marina County Park will be closed part of Sunday for the Smith Point Triathlon, Suffolk police said.

The closure will take place between 6:30 to 10 a.m.

William Floyd Parkway will also be closed in both directions south of Parkview Drive, and drivers traveling southbound on William Floyd Parkway will be diverted onto Stuart Road, according to police.

Additional traffic will be diverted onto Parkview Drive, and motorists are advised to use alternate routes, police said.
