2 Kittens Thrown From Speeding Car In Patchogue: Suffolk SPCA

The Suffolk County SPCA is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest.

The Suffolk County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is investigating the death of two kittens after they were allegedly thrown from a speeding car in Patchogue, officials said.

According to the Suffolk County SPCA, two kittens were thrown out of a white sedan traveling yesterday around 8:15 a.m. on Log Road near Buckley Road and the intersection of Risley Road and Prince Street.

A witness clearly saw the live kittens thrown out the window while the vehicle sped through a stop sign, according to a Suffolk County SPCA news release.

Officials said the two kittens appear to be standard household cats.

The Suffolk County SPCA is offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual(s) responsible for this heinous act of cruelty. The kittens sustained fatal injuries. The person responsible could be facing felony animal cruelty charges.
