WATCH: 'Star Wars' 24-Hour May 4th Marathon Comes To LI
The nine films will be screened at Island 16: Cinema de Lux in Holtsville.
HOLTSVILLE, NY — May 4th is approaching and "Star Wars" fans can celebrate with the only day-long marathon on Long Island.
Nine "Star Wars" movies in the franchise are getting screened at the Island 16: Cinema de Lux in Holtsville.
Mark Malinowski is VP of Showcase Cinemas, which is offering the unique event on May 3 and 4.

"I have a big place in my heart for 'Star Wars' and the entire franchise," Malinowski told Patch.
For $60 ($55 for StarPass members), customers get admission to all nine of the films and get breakfast.

"We're so excited to host this," he said.
Advanced tickets are available online, including the seat diagram. Approximately two-thirds of the 120-seat theater are sold.
It starts with "Episode I: The Phantom Menace" at 8 p.m. and concludes at 6:45 p.m. on May 4th with "Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker."
The original 1977 "Star Wars: A New Hope" runs at 3:35 a.m.
"We're going to have special concession items," he said. "We're going to take very good care of you. We've become experts at these marathons."
The marathon brings together people with a common purpose—sharing their love of all things "Star Wars."
"People just bond. They just go on this 24-hour journey and we're there to just make it an amazing experience," Malinowski said.
