- Lots of holiday events and photo opportunities with Santa Claus will be hosted in the Village of Patchogue. COVID-19 restrictions are more relaxed, but some places still offer virtual visitors. Visit the link to learn about some holiday outings in town. (Patchogue Patch)
- Today is Patchogue's Sip And Shop day. Local businesses will be open until late and little munchies and refreshments will be offered to customers. The AR Workshop will provide crafts for the kids. Participating stores are Thred, Say More Boutique, The Colony Shop, The Cheeky Peach, AR Workshop, The Family Melody Center, Patch Ship, The Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts, the Patchogue-Medford Library and PAC/MOCA. - Police are investigating a possible drowning in Great South Bay. Officials pulled a young male's body out of the water after receiving a 911 call that reported someone was "floating" in the area. The discovery was nearby the South of Fire Avenue at 2:40 p.m. Police and medical examiners are working to identify the person. (Smithtown Matters)
- Suffolk Police Department announced via social media that an incident is under investigation at the Smith Haven Mall. Police arrived at the scene after two people reported a possible armed male strolling in the mall on Nov. 29 at 12:12 p.m. No threads to public safety were identified. (Smithtown Patch)

- "It'll make for a lot of great icebreakers. The bill has it as the best holiday celebration east of New York City, so get those ugly Christmas sweaters out and head to Patchogue on Dec. 18 for the official bar crawl." (Patchogue Patch)
- North Patchogue resident, Darlene Morace, is helping to raise funds to benefit her neighbors whose house was destroyed by a fire that injured their older son and killed their pets. The tragedy happened on Halloween and forced the residents to find shelter elsewhere. A GoFundMe has been set up and has already raised $2,850. (Patchogue Patch)
