Pearl River Parent University

The Pearl River School District Parent University is holding its first workshop of the 2011-12 school year 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18 in Pirate Cove at the high school.

Pearl River Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction Sue Wheeler will present Every Pearl River Student Can and Will Learn: What It Means for  Your Child.

Wheeler will explain what success is for each individual child and how the student, school and parents can work together to make that happen.Parents will have the opportunity to interact and learn about methods for helping their children succeed academically and become more responsible, independent learners.
