Obituary: Joe McTernan, Ex-Chief Of S. Orangetown Ambulance Corps
Due to the snowstorm, visiting hours will be Sunday and a funeral Mass is set for Monday.

Joseph L. McTernan, 44, of Buffalo, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 24, 2022.
Born in Manhattan to Roy and Theresa McTernan, Joseph was raised in Blauvelt, NY. Joseph was appointed CEO at Wyoming County Community Health System in Warsaw, NY. He began his career as a paramedic in New York City and subsequently moved into hospital administration, including roles in process improvement and internal consulting at New York-Presbyterian in New York City and Trinitas Medical Center in Elizabeth, NJ.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Anna, his children, Emmett, Ethan, Evan and Ella; his mother, Theresa; and two brothers and two sisters.
Joseph was a loving father, dedicated colleague and wonderful human being. He will be sorely missed.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, Jan. 31st, 10:30am at the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in Tappan with burial to follow at Rockland Cemetery in Sparkill. Visiting hours will Sunday, Jan. 30th, 1-3pm and 7-9pm at the Moritz Funeral Home in Tappan.
