Chillin' and Grillin' for a Cause at Mohansic Grill & Lounge

When: 5 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 4)

Where: Mohansic Grill & Lounge at the Mohansic Golf Course, 1500 Baldwin Road in Yorktown Heights

Why go? Proceeds raised at this all-you-can-eat event will go to the Lupus Research Institute. There will be live music, indoor and outdoor seating, raffles and more. Adult admission is $30 (kids younger than 10 are $15).

'Dark Matters' Art Reception

When: 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday (Aug. 3)

Where: Hendrick Hudson Free Library, 185 Kings Road in Montrose

Why go? This exhibit is set to feature a "variety of media relating to landscapes and scientific illustrations." Jessica Nash is the artist behind the pieces.

An '80s Party with The Fred Savages

When: 9:30 Saturday (Aug. 3)

Where: 12 Grapes, 12 North Division Street in Peekskill

Why go? The Fred Savages are made up of Drew Bordeaux, Geoff Hartwell and Matt Norris. They play a range of tunes, including covers of Billy Idol, The Police, U2 and more. Entertainment fee is $10 (or $5 with dinner).
