Cashless Tolling To Come To Bear Mountain Bridge
All New York State Bridge Authority spans will be converted to cashless tolling by March 2022.

CORTLANDT, NY — Cashless tolling is coming soon to the Bear Mountain Bridge.
New York State Bridge Authority officials said motorists will experience non-stop travel under gantries in early October at the bridge.
Cashless tolling uses state-of-the-art sensors and cameras that read E-ZPass tags and take license plate images.

Vehicles with E-ZPass tags will be automatically charged. Those without will have their license plate image captured and be mailed a bill to the registered owner of the vehicle.
The exact date of the implementation of cashless tolling will be announced in the near future.

Cashless tolling has been in use on the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge since July 7.
After Bear Mountain is converted, the new system will be brought to the Rip Van Winkle, Kingston-Rhinecliff and Mid-Hudson bridges in the months ahead.
All authority bridges will be converted to cashless tolling by March 2022.
