Child In Car When Man Arrested For DWI On Main Street: NYSP
The Yorktown Heights man had a BAC of .13 percent, after being arrested in Cortlandt, according to state troopers.

CORTLANDT, NY — A Yorktown man was arrested in Cortlandt for potentially putting the life of a child at risk, according to state police.
On Friday, around 10:10 p.m., New York State Police said that a trooper from Cortlandt stopped a 2002 Jeep traveling on East Main Street in the Town of Cortlandt, for multiple traffic violations.
While talking to the driver, 41-year-old Alberto Pimental Garcia, of Yorktown Heights, the trooper noticed signs of intoxication, according to police. He was administered field sobriety tests, which he then failed.

The trooper found that that a 14-year-old child was also in the Jeep at the time of the stop.
Garcia was arrested and taken to Cortlandt for processing, where his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) was found to be 0.13 percent.

State police say the child was turned over to a sober party.
Garcia was charged with felony aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child passenger (Leandra's Law), misdemeanor driving while intoxicated, and several vehicle/traffic violations.
He was arraigned in the Town of Corlandt Court, and then released on his own recognizance. Garcia is scheduled to reappear in court on June 2.
