Cortlandt Hiring For Department of Environmental Services

CORTLANDT, NY — The town of Cortlandt is looking for a deputy director for its Department of Environmental Services.

According to a Facebook post, the position is responsible for assisting in the administration and director of the department, which consists of several divisions, including Parks, Sanitation, Central Buildings, Central Garage, Highway, Water and Sewer.

Responsibilities include assisting in the planning and implementation of long-range goals, administrative procedures and operational programs of the divisions, establishing work priorities and schedules for public work projects, overseeing ongoing maintenance programs, repairs and renovations of all town-owned buildings and properties and responding to all emergencies.

Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and six years of work experience, including four od supervisory experience.

Application deadline is Dec. 1.

Salary range is $145,000 to $160,000.
