Hendrick Hudson Voters Approve $88 Million 2023-24 Budget
There were three additional propositions on the ballot, including a library budget.
MONTROSE, NY — Voters in the Hendrick Hudson school district went to the polls Tuesday to decide whether to approve the 2023-24 budget.
The proposed spending plan of $88 million was approved 1,250 to 313, according to district officials.
The budget is 1.64 percent higher than the current budget. District officials said they were focused on maintaining all curriculum and instructional programs as well as extra-curricular programs, such as athletics, arts and clubs.

The tax levy is expected to rise just 0.1 percent, which is below the state's tax cap.
There were three additional propositions on the ballot: bus purchases totaling $680,000; a $1.3 million library budget and a $4.7 million energy performance contract. All three were approved.

Also on the ballot was choosing two new trustees for the Board of Education for three-year terms.
The winners are Amelia Silverman and Tomica Dietrich.
