Metro-North Adds 'Leaf Peeper' Trains In Hudson Valley
The railroad will also provide gameday service for the New York Yankees playoff games.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Want to get away and look at the Hudson Valley’s fall foliage?
Metro-North Railroad announced Friday the return of additional train service on the Hudson Line for customers to enjoy the fall leaves and outdoor activities in the Hudson Valley.
Starting Saturday, there will be five extra “Leaf Peeper” trains that will operate on Saturdays and four extra trains on Sunday to take people up the valley.

Along with the extra “Leaf Peeper” trains, midday and afternoon half-hourly service will be restored on the Hudson Line beginning Sunday, Oct. 16. There will be six trains added on Saturdays and four trains on Sunday.
The enhanced service to the Hudson Line will also include gameday service for the New York Yankees playoff games as necessary. The first playoff game at Yankee Stadium is scheduled for Tuesday, with time and opponent to be determined.

Metro-North Railroad President Catherine Rinaldi said there are all types of activities to do in the Hudson Valley, from taking in the beautiful fall foliage to playoff baseball.
“Fall is the best season to experience all that Metro-North has to offer,” she said.
In addition to the Hudson Line service enhancements, Metro-North’s schedule update will include additional getaway holiday trains on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day.
