Peekskill Police Officer Neuner Remembered 20 Years After Death
Brewster Fire Lt. Michael E. Neuner Sr. died on June 22, 1997 in a structure fire. He was also a member of the Peekskill Police Department.
BREWSTER, NY - On Thursday, the Brewster Fire Department marked the 20-year anniversary of the untimely death of one of its members, Lt. Michael E. Neuner Sr.
Neuner, whose name adorns the firehouse in downtown Brewster, died in a morning structure fire on June 22, 1997, the department recalled in a Facebook post that marked the anniversary.
The department, which called Neuner "a true public servant," also noted his service as a Peekskill police officer.

"His children carry on Mike's proud legacy of public service," the department wrote on Facebook. "Take time out today to remember Mike or visit the memorial outside fire headquarters on Main St. RIP SATCH"
