Person Struck, Killed By Train Near Peekskill Station
Authorities said the person was trespassing at the Hudson Avenue crossing in Peekskill.

PEEKSKILL, NY — A person was struck and killed by a train near the Peekskill Metro-North train station Monday morning.
A spokesperson for Metro-North Railroad said, around 5:55 a.m. Monday, a train struck someone who was trespassing at the Hudson Avenue crossing in Peekskill.
Members of the MTA Police Department arrived on the scene and began an investigation.

Authorities said the person who was struck by the train was killed. No other information was provided due to notification of next of kin and the ongoing investigation.
As of around 8:40 a.m., there were delays of up to 20 minutes. By 10:30 a.m., service on the Hudson Line was on or close to schedule, the MTA said.
